South County Education Foundation
The South County Education Foundation is a non-profit 501c(3), Tax ID#770020195, whose purpose is to provide four major grants annually to the teachers in the Lucia Mar Unified School District. Two grants shall be awarded to the Elementary Grades 1-6 in the arts or in the sciences and two shall be awarded to the Middle School-Senior High grades 7-12 either in the arts or in the sciences.
Grant applicants may apply for up to $3500. It is recommended that teachers collaborate to write their grant proposal since the new funding paradigm is more competitive. The grant should affect a large number of students and should not be used for materials and/or supplies unless they are needed for implementation of the grant.
