Health Benefits

All Lucia Mar employees must complete health benefit forms  including full-time, part-time, and variable hour employees to either enroll or decline insurance coverage while employed for the Lucia Mar Unified School District.  To decline insurance, you must be less than full time or meet other SISC eligibility requirements.  Benefit options are available below for your review which include the rates, plan options, and benefit summaries.

If you wish to have your premiums pre-taxed you must complete a Salary Redirection Agreement and forward to Human Resources.  If you have a Salary Redirection Agreement on file to have your premiums pre-taxed, it will continue to roll into the following plan year

OPEN ENROLLMENT - Current Employees
Plan Year 10/1/2024 through 9/30/2025
**OPEN ENROLLMENT WINDOW HAS CLOSED AS OF JUNE 21, 2024**
Information provided below is for review purposes only as no further submissions are being accepted.

Current employees interested in enrolling in a benefits package for the 2024-2025 plan year, must complete their open enrollment selections no later than June 21, 2024.  If employees do not submit a response for open enrollment, the medical plan for 2024-2025 will automatically roll to the same plan letter or number correspondent to the benefits plan outline with the same dependent/spouse information on file with the District (e.g. Plan 1 will transfer to Plan 1).

IMPORTANT - Effective October 1, 2024, MetLife is the new dental insurance carrier.  Employees are responsible for reviewing the open enrollment handouts when making a selection.  Please be advised that these MetLife plans are not the same basic MetLife plans on the open market.  These plans have been personalized for the District based upon the feedback, review, and agreement between each insurance committee representing all employees (CSEA Insurance Committee, LMUTA Insurance Committee, and Management Insurance Committee).  Each plan option has an expanded in-network coverage and out-of-network coverage.  If an employee does not submit your open enrollment response, the District will map the dental plan from your current Delta Dental/Anthem Dental plan to the NEW MetLife plans offered.  It is the responsibility of the employee to ensure that they make an appropriate selection for the benefits.
