• Your Kindergartener must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025.
  Transitional Kindergartners must be 4 by September 1, 2025.

• Please note that at this time the Preschool Education Program (PEP) in Lucia Mar Unified School District is available only to qualifying individuals with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). If you have concerns related to your child’s development prior to the age of 4, please contact our PEP Intake line at 805-474-3000 ext. 6007. The Lucia Mar Unified School District preschool enrollment process is not a part of the district’s TK or Kindergarten open enrollment process.

• Then visit the school with your child's birth certificate, immunization record, and two (2) proof of residence to your neighborhood school to complete registration.
  
  Please note, all required immunizations must be completed BEFORE your child can be fully enrolled to start school in August.

• Students will get to meet the teachers and be introduced to Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten at the "Intro" events taking place in the Spring. 
• Intro to Transitional Kindergarten and Intro to Kindergarten invitations will be sent out to everyone who has registered and brought in their paperwork.
• Intro to Kinder is for incoming kindergarteners who are new to the district.
